Waynesville is an unincorporated community in Brantley County, Georgia, United States. It is part of the Brunswick, Georgia Metropolitan Statistical Area. Its ZIP code is 31566.
Geography
Named after Revolutionary War Hero, General "Mad" Anthony Wayne, Waynesville is located near the old Post Road which is the dividing line between the counties of Brantley and Glynn.
Waynesville was the original county seat of Wayne County. In 1877 It was moved to Jesup. In 1920 this portion of Wayne county became part of Brantley County
