Wamashrahu (Quechua rahu snow, ice, mountain with snow,[3] hispanicized spellings Huamashraju, Wamashraju) or Yanawaqra (Quechua yana black, waqra horn, "black horn", hispanicized Yanahuacra)[4] is a mountain in the Cordillera Blanca in the Andes of Peru, about 5,434 metres (17,828 ft) high. It is situated in the Ancash Region, Huaraz Province, Huaraz District. Wamashrahu lies east of the town Huaraz (Waras), west of the Wantsan and northwest of the Shaqsha and the Kashan.
