Walter C. Richardson (November 7, 1885 – December 25, 1998) was an American supercentenarian. He became the world's oldest verified man on 17 July 1998[citation needed], upon the death of 113-year-old Johnson Parks at the age of 112 years, 252 days, until his own death on 25 December 1998, at the age of 113 years, 48 days. Following his death, Denzo Ishizaki of Japan became the oldest man.
