Walt Hameline is the current Director of Athletics and head football coach at Wagner College in Staten Island, NY. He has been the head coach since 1981 and guided them to the 1987 NCAA Division III National Championship.[1] Wagner College is currently a Division I Football Championship Subdivision (formerly Division I-AA) scholarship program that is a member of the Northeast Conference.
Hameline has positioned himself to finish among the winningest head coaches in college football history. Wagner football teams under Hameline's guidance have finished with winning records 23 times in his career.[2] Hameline's wins record ranks him in the Top 25 of active collegiate football coaches. In November 2010, he reached the 200-win mark as Wagner defeated Monmouth, 31-20.[3]
Hameline lives with his wife in Colts Neck Township, New Jersey.[4]
