Waloupa, California

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Waloupa (also, Walloupa) is a former settlement in Nevada County, California.[1] Waloupa is located 1 mile (1.6 km) south of You Bet.[1] It still appeared on maps as of 1873.[1]

The name commemorates an Indian chief.[1] The place was founded in 1852, but by 1860 the townsfolk had relocated to You Bet.[1]
