Wairau Valley is a suburb of North Shore, one of several cities in the Auckland metropolitan area in northern New Zealand. The area is predominantly light industrial/commercial. New Zealand State Highway 1 passes to the east, and the Wairau Park shopping complex extends to the north.[1] Wairau Valley is part of the Glenfield North census area.[2]

Education

Wairau Valley School is a coeducational special school, with a decile rating of 9 and a roll of 94.[3] It caters for students up to 21 years old with intellectual disabilities.[4]
