The station was assigned the call letters WHOG on 1981-07-09. On 1990-10-19, the station changed its call sign to WQAI, on 1998-01-30 to WYHI, on 1999-06-25 to WGSR, on 2004-01-16 to WNNR, and on 2004-01-29 to the current WVOJ.[2]
