WSPT (97.9 FM) is a radio station broadcasting an oldies format. Licensed to Stevens Point, Wisconsin, USA, the station serves the Stevens Point-Wisconsin Rapids area. The station is currently owned by Richard L. Muzzy, through licensee Muzzy Broadcast Group, LLC.[2] The station derives a portion of its programming from Scott Shannon's The True Oldies Channel from ABC Radio.[3]
Format history
During the 90s, the station carried a Modern AC format as "Today's Music Revolution, 98 WSPT". In the 2000s, it segued to Hot AC as "97.9 WSPT" In 2005, it added ABC Radio's syndicated Adult Hits "Jack FM" format, returning to "97.9 WSPT" later on with its current oldies format.
