WSJO (104.9 FM, "SOJO 104.9") is a commercial radio station whose transmitter is located in Egg Harbor City, 20 miles northwest of Atlantic City. WSJO airs a hot adult contemporary music format. Although WSJO broadcasts to the Atlantic City area and greater southern New Jersey, its programming originates from studios shared with New Jersey 101.5 in Ewing, New Jersey, outside of its primary coverage area.

History

The station began operations in 1971 as WRDR. WRDR was best known for its adult standards format in the 1980s and 1990s. In 1999 the station was sold and became WEMG-FM with a Spanish-language format. After another sale in 2003, the station aired country music for much of the summer, then switched to smooth jazz as WOJZ in late August. After yet another sale, the current call letters and format were instituted in November 2004.
