WRMI (Radio Miami International) is a shortwave radio station broadcasting from Miami,
Florida,
United States. WRMI is a commercial radio station that sells airtime to businesses and organizations. According to its station record from the
Federal Communications Commission, WRMI's broadcast target zones are the Caribbean, Central and South America. In particular, much of its programming is targeted towards
Cuba.
The station began broadcasting in June, 1994, with a fifty kilowatt transmitter and two antennae located near Miami, Florida. In December, 2013, they purchased the WYFR transmmission complex from Family Radio in Okeechobee, Florida. This new facility includes a dozen one hundred kilowatt transmitters plus a fifty kilowatt transmitter and several antennae to cover all parts of the world.
