WRKQ (1250 AM) is an American radio station broadcasting a classic hits music format.[1] Licensed to Madisonville, Tennessee, USA, the station is currently owned by Michael & Sue Beverly, through licensee Beverly Broadcasting Company, LLC.[2] WRKQ is a CBS News radio affiliate, carries state news from the Tennessee Radio Network, is the Tennessee Volunteers Sports affiliate in Monroe County, and is an affiliate of the Tennessee Titans Radio Network.
WRKQ features Sequoyah High School athletic broadcasts including football, basketball, and baseball.
WRKQ features the "Advocate & Democrat Sports Page," a local sports talk show hosted by Brandon Keys, the sports editor of the Advocate & Democrat (a local newspaper). The guest host is often Steve Denny.
WRKQ features CBS Radio News at the top of each hour, followed by state headlines from the Tennessee Radio Network. The CBS Sports Minute is featured each hour.
