WOLB is an Urban Talk radio station in Baltimore, Maryland. Broadcasting on 1010 AM, it is owned by Radio One.
History
The station was founded by Sidney Tinsley as WSID in 1947, originally operating on 1570 kHz. At first WSID specialized in programming for Baltimore's suburban areas, but the station was sold in 1949 and began targeting African-American listeners. By the mid-1950s the station had moved to its current frequency of 1010 kHz.
