WLHS (89.9 FM) is a Classic Radio station broadcasting the golden age of radio format. Licensed to West Chester, Ohio, USA, the radio station serves the greater Cincinnati, Ohio, area. The station is currently owned by the Maple Knoll Community Center. The station ID is 89.9 FM in the Greater Cincinnati Area.

History

The station was owned by the Lakota School District, which used it for students. It had live programming during school hours and on Saturday. All other shows were taped.

In July 2013, WMKV-FM 89.3 Purchased the station to reach northern counties of the Cincinnati area. It airs simultaneously with its sister station WMKV.

Programming

After WMKV purchased WLHS, they simulcasted programming from its first channel. (For more information, see WMKV) Weekday Programming: Big band music is aired in the early hours, 12-5 in the morning, and at 5 am, they air taped programming for shows. At 6 AM, Good Morning Cincinnati on Local 12 is simulcasted, and the 7 am Good Morning Cincinnati airs right afterwards. After that big band music is played until noon, when Hollywood Radio theater airs and after that taped programing. At 6 pm, Local 2 news at 6 is simulcasted, and following is WMKV means business. At 7 pm Mystery Theater airs, consisting of The Whistler and 'Suspense!"" Big band music continues all night.
