History

The station went on the air as WSFC-FM on 1964-09-01; in 1968 the station changed its call sign to WSEK. On 2005-08-09 the station changed its call sign to WKEQ-FM. On 2005-08-18, the station changed its call sign to the current WKEQ.[2]
