Vršovice Cemetery (in Czech: Vršovický hřbitov) is a cemetery in Vršovice in Prague 10. It is the resting place of the composer Anton Dvořák.
History
In 1890 a Pantheon or “Slavin” was built in the cemtery to serve as a premium tomb for the great and the good.
Notable burials
The people buried here include the writer Karel Čapek who lived locally and the artist Max Švabinský who was a Professor of graphic art.[1]
Heritage
As part of the European Heritage Days initiative this cemetery was opened to the public in September 2012.[2]
