Vršíček (431 metres (1,414 ft) above sea level) is a hill in the Czech Republic located in Rokycany District, Plzeň Region some 2.5 kilometres (2 mi) km northwest of Rokycany and 1 kilometre (1 mi) south of village of Litohlavy. On the summit of Vršíček there is a baroque chapel of the Visitation of Virgin Mary (Czech: kaple Navštívení Panny Marie), which was built in 1744–47. The construction of the chapel was funded by town of Rokycany and was intended to protect the town against plague.[1] The most recent repair of the chapel dates from 1990s.[2]
