The District of Vlorë (Albanian: Rrethi i Vlorës) is one of the thirty-six districts of Albania, part of Vlorë County. Its population of 151,314[1] (2010 estimate). The district has a land area of 1,609 km². It is in the south-west of the country, and its capital is Vlorë. Its population includes a Greek minority.[2][3] The district consists of the following municipalities:

Other places in this district include Dhërmi, Ujë i Ftohtë, Palasë, Nartë and Kocul.

Vlorë is the closest point of the Albanian coast to the Italian peninsula. The district well known for it coastline (see photo linked below).
