Vlad Nicolae Marin (born 15 May 1995 in Râmnicu Vâlcea) is a Romanian footballer, who currently plays in the youth ranks for Serie A club A.S. Roma on loan from Juventus. He usually plays as a left back, but can also play as a left midfielder or a central defender.[1]

Career

Before the start of the 2012-2013 season, Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini was accused by Lazio director of sport Igli Tare of having an "dishonest" approach in his attempt of securing the young player's services.[2]

Eventually, the English club paid a compensation sum to Lazio speculated to be around the sum of 400.000 euros to avoid a public scandal.[3]

However, the Romanian youngster did not have the chance to play for the Citizens as the club failed to procure a UK work permit and they were thus forced to release him as he joined Juventus just before the closing stages of the 2013 summer transfer market.[4]

2014-

on the last of the January transfer market, Vlad Marin joined A.S Roma on loan with an option to buy from Juventus[5]

International career

Marin featured in all three of Romania U19's games in October in the 2014 UEFA European Under-19 Championship qualification.[6]
