Virginia Kahoa Kaahumanu Kaihikapumahana Ninito Wilcox (1895–1954) was related to the royal family of the Kingdom of Hawaii.

Life

Her father was Robert Kalanihiapo Wilcox (1855–1903), a military and political leader of Hawaiian and English descent. Her mother was Theresa Owana Kaohelelani of the House of Laanui, a collateral branch of the House of Kamehameha.

Born May 27, 1895, a few years after the overthrow of the Kingdom of Hawaii, Virginia was the younger sister of Robert Kalanikupuapaikalaninui Wilcox (1893–1934) and elder sister of Elizabeth Kaʻakaulani Wilcox (died young 1898).[1] Her half sisters (from her mother's first marriage) were Daisy Napulahaokalani Cartwright and Eva Kuwailanimamao Cartwright.[2]

She inherited the Wilcox estate and married John Kilioe Miller (1897–1969). Their eldest daughter was Kaihikapumahana Daisy, who married Cliff Weaver, the owner of the Spence Cliff chain of restaurants in Hawaii. Her youngest daughter was Kapiolani Gertrude Miller. Miss Hawaii in 1954, she traveled around the world with the original Harlem Globetrotters as a personal friend of Abe Saperstein, their founder.[citation needed] Returning to Hawaii, she became the owner of the Toledo Dairy, Hawaii's largest dairy farm, with a net worth 24 million $.[citation needed]

Virginia's other children were Kilioe John Miller, Kahelekaapuni Virginia Castro, Kaahumanu Margeret Braines and Kalahumoku Elmer.

Virginia Kahoa Kaahumanu Kaihikapumahana died on June 13, 1954.
