Virgin Brides was a company specialising in weddings and bridal wear. It was part of the Virgin Group, and was founded in 1996.
For the launch of the store, Sir Richard Branson shaved his beard and wore a wedding dress.[1]
On 12 December 2007, Virgin Brides stopped taking any more orders. This was due to the company not being able to make any profit because of an intensively competitive bridal market.[2]
