Virgil Vries (born 29 March 1989 in Keetmanshoop) is a Namibian football goalkeeper who currently plays for South African Premier Soccer League club Maritzburg United.
Club career
Vries joined Golden Arrows in 2011 from Namibian side Eleven Arrows, signing a three-year contract. A November 2011 blunder against Amazulu gained worldwide attention.[1] In January 2012 he was loaned to second division side Carara Kicks.[2]
Later in 2012, he signed a short-term contract with Orlando Pirates in the Namibian Premier League.[3]
International career
He also represents Namibia.[4]
