Violetta Afanasieva

Violetta Afanasieva (born December 21, 1978 in Moscow, Russia) is a Russian figure skater.

Biography

She was married on May 17, 2002 to Canadian figure skater, Pete Dack. In September 2006, she and Dack won the first ever "Extreme Ice Skating World Championships" in St. Petersburg, Russia.

In fall of 2010, she competed in the second season of the hit reality TV show, Battle of the Blades, where professional figures skaters are partnered with professional hockey players and compete for $100,000 for their chosen charity. Afanasieva, along with her partner P.J. Stock, came in 6th overall and raised $25,000 for ONEXONE.[1][2]
