Vinay Virmani (born January 24, 1985) is a Canadian actor best known for his performance in Breakaway (dubbed into Hindi as Speedy Singhs),[1] a Canadian hockey based film directed by Robert Lieberman and produced by Akshay Kumar and Paul Gross.[2]
Early life
Virmani was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario. He is of Indian origin. He is the son of Ajay Virmani, an Indo-Canadian businessman and Indian film producer. He received his early education from the Second City School in Toronto and graduated from York University.[3] He has also studied acting at the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York City.[4]
Career
Virmani's first role was in a 2008 Canadian short film. In 2011 he co-wrote and starred in Breakaway (dubbed into Hindi as "Speedy Singhs").[5][6]
