Villa Rosebery
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Villa Rosebery is one of the three official residences of the President of the Italian Republic (the other two being the Quirinal Palace and the Castelporziano estate in Rome).
Villa Rosebery is situated in Naples and it is so named because it was owned by the glamorous British Prime Minister Archibald Primrose, 5th Earl of Rosebery (Liberal, 1894-1895). Some guests of Rosebery's during his residency include King Edward VII and Oscar Wilde. From 1945 to 1949 it was the property of the Accademia Aeronautica, when it was deeded over as an Italian government residence.
