Vile is a 2011 horror film following ten kidnapped captives who have 24 hours to mount an escape from a locked room, and must endure excruciating pain in order to win their freedom.

Plot

Four young adults, Taylor, Nick, Tony, and Kai, are camping out in the forest. Taylor is pregnant, and has yet to tell her boyfriend, Nick. While they are packing the car to leave, Kai slips some MS Contin (morphine sulfate pills) into one of Taylor's boots. They stop at a gas station, where Nick meets a young women, Diane, whose car ran out of gas a few miles down the road. The group agrees to give her a ride to her car. After they reach Diane's car, she insists on getting the girls a sample of her perfume. Seconds later, she appears next to the window, wearing a gas mask. She is holding a nozzle with which she sprays the occupants of the car with what is apparently a knockout gas, causing them to become unconscious.

They are put into a small room and tied up. There are five more people, Sam, Lisa, Tara, Greg, and Julian, arguing about using them for the "100%" to complete the task stated in a video. The four start to wake up, Greg makes a decision, and rips off Kai's fingernail. This sets everyone into a frenzy, and they start to lash at each other. After they all calm down, it's revealed that the other five people are locked in the room as well. Tony angrily questions Greg's decision, and they all reply with the video. Sam takes them upstairs to show the video. On the screen, there is a woman, stating that if they all work together, they will be out of there in no time. The only way to get out is to make their brain release a chemical caused by the experience of pain into a vial attached to their brain.
