Vijay Menon is an Indian actor in Malayalam cinema.[1] He has acted in more than 100 films in all South Indian languages. He mainly handles in character roles and supporting roles.

Biography

Vijay Menon hails from Ottapalam, Kerala. His father is from Ottapalam, Palakkad and Mother is from Chengannur, Alappuzha. He had his primary education from Lawrence School, Lovedale, Ootty. He studied direction course from Film and Television Institute of India, Pune. He went to director Bharathan with a dream to become an assistant director. But that time Bharathan was looking new faces for his movie Nidra, seeing his talent Bharathan casted him in his movie Nidra making his debut movie as the same. Film went on to a huge success and he was well noted for his performance. He writes articles in The Indian Express about International Politics.[2] He won Kerala State Film Award for Best Dubbing artist in 2011 for the movie Melvilasom.[3]

He is married to Kala. The couple have a daughter Malavika and a son Nikhil.
