Victor Beamish

Francis Victor Beamish DSO* DFC AFC RAF (27 September 1903 - 28 March 1942) was a highly decorated Irish Royal Air Force pilot, Battle of Britain fighter ace, who was killed in 1942.[1][2][3]

He also played rugby for played rugby union for Harlequins, Leicester, Hants, Royal Air Force and Irish Trials for several years.

He was the eldest of the Beamish brothers who were all accomplished sportsmen and RAF officers; his brothers being George, Charles and Cecil.
