Vic Silayan (January 31, 1929 – August 30, 1987) was a Filipino actor who is best known for his roles in Kisapmata (1981) and Karnal (1983). He is the father of Chat Silayan and grandfather of Victor Silayan.[1]

Personal life

Silayan divorced from his wife after she discovered that he had illegitimate children.[2][3]include Marivic Simon, who was wife of former Quezon City Mayor Jun Simon and his sons Rey and Chito (who died in 1998) subducted as troubled teenagers but later they settled with families in adult years and Silyan is very closed to his daughter Rosario (Chat) and didn't want his children to showbiz. Silyan was aginast when his daughter enter and won Bb. Pilipinas in 1980 but he was proud when he sees his daughter won thrid runner up in Miss Universe

Death

Silayan died of a heart attack on August 30, 1987.
