Vibha Parthasarathy

Vibha Parthasarathy (born September 13, 1940) is a prominent Indian educationalist. She served as the chairperson of the National Commission for Women, India from 1999 to 2002.[1]

Background

Vibha Parthasarathy was educated at Cambridge University and Boston University. She was Principal of New Delhi's Sardar Patel Vidyalaya for over two decades

National Commission of Women

Vibha Parthasarathy was nominated by the NDA government as the Chairperson of the National Commission for Women in July 1999. The position is equivalent to the rank of a Minister of State in the Union government. Her term ended in 2002.
