Vexillum (Pusia) ebenus, common name : the ebony mitre, is a species of small sea snail, marine gastropod mollusk in the family Costellariidae, the ribbed miters.[1]
Description
The shell size varies between 20 mm and 36 mm
Distribution
This species is distributed in West European waters and in the Mediterranean Sea

In the course of time, many names have been given to Vexillum (Pusia) ebenus, starting in 1811 with Lamarck who named it Mitra plumbea.
