Selby Vernon McCasland (September 27, 1896 – November 15, 1970) was an American football coach and sports figure in the United States.
Coaching career
McCasland was the first head [football coach for the Abilene Christian University Wildcats located in Abilene, Texas and he held that position for the 1919 season.[3][4] His coaching record at Abilene Christian was 2 wins, 2 losses, and 0 ties. As of the conclusion of the 2007 season, this ranks him 17th at Abilene Christian in total wins and 11th at Abilene Christian in winning percentage (.500).[5]
