Venyov (Russian: Венёв) is a town and the administrative center of Venyovsky District of Tula Oblast, Russia, located on the Venyovka River, 52 kilometers (32 mi) east of Tula. Population: 15,224 (2010 Census);[1] 16,167 (2002 Census);[2] 13,243 (1989 Census).[3]

It was founded in the 12th century approximately 7 kilometers (4.3 mi) from the location of the modern town. It was granted town status in 1777.
