Vent Haven Museum
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Vent Haven Museum is the world's only museum of ventriloquial figures and memorabilia. Its collection contains more than 700 objects and character dolls from twenty countries related to ventriloquism, including dolls that belonged to Edgar Bergen.[1][2] The museum is in Fort Mitchell, Kentucky, just five miles south of Cincinnati, Ohio.[3]
Vent Haven Museum was founded by William Shakespeare Berger, a Cincinnati businessman and amateur ventriloquist.[4] Berger amassed the collection from the 1930s until his death in 1973.[5]
The museum is open seasonally from May 1 to September 30 on weekdays by appointment only. It is also open to those attending the Vent Haven ConVENTion.
