velcom and Privet are the trademarks of the second largest cell-phone operator in Belarus, Mobile Digital Communications (Russian: ИП "Велком"). Its headquarters are located in Minsk.

As of January 2009 velcom has more than 3.697 million subscribers in Belarus.

Its current (as of November, 2008) license portfolio covers territory where 96% of Belarusian population reside.

Velcom was founded in 1999 and initially operated GSM-900 network in Minsk area.

Velcom is 100% owned by mobilkom Austria.

Velcom's main competitor is Mobile TeleSystems.
