Velatice is a village and municipality (obec) in Brno-Country District in the South Moravian Region of the Czech Republic.
The municipality covers an area of 2.26 square kilometres (0.87 sq mi), and has a population of 621 (as at 3 July 2006).
Velatice lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) east of Brno and 195 km (121 mi) south-east of Prague.
