Vazhakkala is a census town in Ernakulam district in the Indian state of Kerala. It is located in Thrikkakara panchayat.
Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Vazhakkala had a population of 42,272. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Vazhakkala has an average literacy rate of 84%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 86%, and female literacy is 82%. In Vazhakkala, 11% of the population is under 6 years of age.
