Vasoprotective

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

A Vasoprotective is a medication which acts to alleviate certain conditions of the blood vessels. For example, the World Health Organization used the term to describe agents used in the treatment of hemorrhoids and varicose veins.[1]

Hormones such as estrogen can have a vasoprotective effect.[2]

Another vasoprotective is valsartan.[3] More specifically, arterial vasoprotectors are called angioprotectors.
