Vasilică Cristocea, (born 27 July 1980 in Hârşova) is a Romanian football player who plays for Universitatea Cluj.

Playing style

Cristocea is a player who is able to link attack and midfield effectively.

Originally a left midfielder, he can as well play in the center of behind the forwards. He is renowned for his technique, accurate free kicks, and the ability to put his team-mates through into great positions.

Club career

Cristocea made his debut playing for Carsium Hârşova's youth teams, before joining Farul Constanţa in 1999 and then Steaua Bucureşti seven years later.

At Steaua Bucureşti he is yet to establish himself as a first team regular, however he is a very good option for the team's coach, as he proved himself during some important matches, which include one in UEFA Champions League.
