Varujan Boghosian

Varujan Yegan Boghosian (born 1926 New Britain, Connecticut) is an American sculptor. He was a 1985 Guggenheim fellow.[1] In 1966, he was artist in residence at the American Academy in Rome.[2]

Life

Boghosian served in the U.S. Navy, during World War II. He studied at the Vesper George School of Art. He studied in Italy, on a Fulbright Grant in 1953. He studied at Yale School of Art, with Josef Albers. He taught at University of Florida, Cooper Union, Pratt Institute, Yale University, Brown University, and Dartmouth College from 1968 to 2008.[3]

His papers are held at the Archives of American Art.[4]
