Vandarth
Vandarth (born Nathan Snyder; September 15, 1986) is a solo musician from Indianapolis, Indiana. He is also the lead vocalist and guitarist in the band Project Hero. His music draws influence from a variety of bands including Avenged Sevenfold, Foo Fighters, Weezer, Against Me!, and Coldplay. Vandarth is primarily an original artist. He has released several solo albums, most notably 2009's The Escape, but he has also released a series of covers.
Solo Releases
Vandarth's first significant release titled The Escape, was released digitally on January 1, 2009. The follow-up, titled Gateway of Destruction was not formally released because the original recording session files were damaged. A few of the demos were released from Vandarth's website. Rather than re-record the album again, he decided to start over with new material. This resulted in two new albums in 2011 titled Love.Hate.Fear.Rage. and Bash Your Brains To This! Neither were released publicly but were instead licensed to television and film. The song We Used To Call This Home was featured in the movie Nitro Circus: The Movie.[1] Real Men In Trees appeared in Season 3 Episode 7 of the cable television series Lost Girl.
Project Hero
Vandarth has recorded three albums with his band Project Hero. Climb A Ladder Into The Sky was released on May 2, 2010.[2]Climb A Ladder Into The Sky was actually written as the precursor to Vandarth's solo album The Escape, but was not finished until after The Escape had been released.[3] The band's third album titled New Era was released on November 30, 2010. A music video was released for the title track New Era featuring a tribute to a local superhero known as Mr. Silent, who became famous and mysteriously disappeared.
Red9 and Other Projects
Red9 was a band formed by Vandarth in West Lafayette, Indiana, while he attended Purdue. The band recorded a 10-song concept album about a space war and clone-takeover. The Red9 album has not been officially released, but Vandarth has not ruled out a future release.[4]
