Vamsha Vriksha (The genalogy tree), is a 1971 Indian Kannada-language film directed by B. V. Karanth and Girish Karnad, based on S. L. Bhyrappa's novel of the same name. The film won the National Film Awards for Best Direction.[1] It also won the three Filmfare Award south in 1972.
Vamsha Vriksha marked the film debut of actor Vishnuvardhan[2] and actress, Uma Shivakumar.[3]
