Valeriana montana

Valeriana is a genus of flowering plants in the family Valerianaceae, members of which may by commonly known as valerians. It includes a number of species, of which the best known is the garden valerian Valeriana officinalis.[citation needed] Some species are native to Europe, others to North America and South America (especially in the Andes).
