Valentino Lazaro (born 23 March 1996) is a Austrian footballer, who currently plays as an offensive midfielder for Austrian side FC Red Bull Salzburg.[1][2]

Career

Lazaro was born in Graz, Austria, to an Angolan father and a Greek mother[3] and made his full debut on 3 November 2012 against FC Admira Wacker Mödling in the league. At 16 years and 224 days, he became the youngest player ever in the history of the Austrian Bundesliga. He scored his first goal for RB Salzburg against Dynamo Budweis on 6 February 2013 in an exhibition game. Lazaro was close to signing for Inter Milan in the 2012 summer transfer window, but ultimately refused the transfer due to family pressure to remain in Austria for at least another year.
