Vadgam is a Taluka Place in India, situated in Banaskantha district in northern Gujarat. Administratively, it is a Taluka. There are 110 village under this Taluka. The population of the vadgam Taluka is around 101025. The main economic activities of the people are agriculture, dairy farming, and diamond cutting.
The main community of the Taluka is Anjana Chaudhary Patel, Rajput, Muslim & Thakor. Vadgam is 15 km away from Palanpur the main city of the Banaskantha District.
Galbabhai Nanjibhai patel, a farmer leader and social worker, was born at small village Nalasar of Vadgam Taluka. He was the founder chairman of Banas Dairy, Palanpur. The Galbabhai Dairy Co-operative Training Centre has been established in the memory of late Galbabhai.
Vadgam is situated in between the way of Kheralu - Palanpur. It is a commercial place for the surrounding villages such as Kodaram, Pilucha, Rupal, Gola, Parakhadi, Magarwada, Nandotra, Gidasan, Nanosana etc. The Vadgam taluka mainly comprises the population of Anjana Chaudhari and Rajputs.
