Vacherie is a small unincorporated community in St. James Parish, Louisiana, United States. Near the community is the WCKW/KSTE-Tower, a guyed mast noted as one of the tallest constructions on Earth. The most famous location in the community is historic Oak Alley Plantation.
Census-designated places
Vacherie is split into two census-designated places, North Vacherie and South Vacherie, by the United States Census Bureau. As of the 2000 census, North Vacherie had a population of 2,462[1] and South Vacherie had a population of 3,543.[2]
