Urueña is a municipality located in the province of Valladolid, Castile and León, Spain. According to the 2004 census (INE), the municipality has a population of 213 inhabitants.

Its streets and their homes restored and refurbished offer an aspect of small medieval town. It still retains much of the wall with two doors, some canvases of the castle, stone houses built in a certain quality and a parish church gothic-renaissance. It also has four very interesting museums. Outside the walled enclosure and within walking distance is the Romanesque chapel of the announced and the ruins of an old monastery. In the municipal term prehistoric remains were found.

It is member of the I.O.B.-International Organisation of Book Towns, a network of villages in which second-hand and antiquarian bookshops are concentrated.
