Ureki (Georgian: ურეკი) is a town and a seaside climatic resort in the Ozurgeti District of Georgia’s Guria region, on the Black Sea coast, situated 10 km from Batumi and approximately 300 km from the nation’s capital Tbilisi. Located 4 meters above the sea level, it has a population of 1,422 (2005 all-Georgia Census).[1]
It received a status of a town in 1953.
