Uppspretta
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Uppspretta is the name of a huge toyistic artwork situated in the middle of the Icelandic town of Keflavík. In 2013 a neglected water tower being nine meters in height and thirty-six meters in circumference has been transformed into an object of art[1] that is a welcome addition to this town and will also attract more tourists. The work of art represents the legend of a puffin having the same name. The largest colony of puffins lives in Iceland.[citation needed]
Literally, Uppspretta means “a source bursting with energy”.
