Upendra Trivedi

Upendra Trivedi (born 1960) is an Indian actor who is of the most prolific actors in Gujarati cinema.[1]

He started his career in industry in 1970s and ruled the Gujarati Cinema for more than 40 years. He, along with Naresh Kanodia, represents the golden era of Gujarati Cinema. Both of them has given the industry many successful movies one after the other. Upendra Trivedi was often paired with Sneh Lata. Their pair is considered to be the best pair for the industry. They have given many memorable movies together.

Career

He also directed one of the most memorable movies of Gujarati Cinema-"Manvini Bhawai", Based on the novel of the same name by famous Gujarati Writer, Pannalal Patel. The movie earned the national award. The story of movie was based on the famine of vikram sanvant 1956 (1900 AD) where the condition of people was dire and many died due to starvation. He paired with Naresh Kanodia for the first time in movie- Maa Baap ne Bhulsho Nahi in 1999.

Upendra Trivedi's brother Arvind Trivedi has been also very famous name in Gujarati movies. Upendra Trivedi also became MLA from Bhiloda, Gujarat. He also tried his luck in Hindi cinema in movie "Jungle Main Mangal" along with his brother Arvind Trivedi with negative role.
