The University Partnership Programme, known as the UPP, was a PFI scheme between the various Universities and Jarvis plc to build and maintain student accommodation. In 2004, Jarvis Plc sold this business to the Alma Mater Fund which is managed by 3i and Barclays Private Equity, who now maintain the UPP accommodation as UPP Projects Ltd.

Ainsty Court and Hickleton Court in Halifax College and accommodation within Wentworth College was built under the UPP scheme.
